What is the meaning of farewell dinner??

Farewell dinner 是自己办的吗？有人可以告诉我吗？？like begging and forcing people to say bye and pay for you.. I would rather dont want one.. especially when people who attend it are there JUST FOR ANOTHER DINNER..

.. but am glad that I still have friends that are truly sincerely wanting to bid farewell with me.. YL, though its just a very simple Carl's Jr and I am sure that you werent thinking about my farewell when you said you wanted to give me a treat, =P..but still thank you so much for it.. and YES! AM OUT OF THE HELL PLACE.. remember to get him so that your 姐妹的幸福也有个着落..haha! And for the coming dinner with people that I REALLY want to bid farewell with.. looking forward to it.. hope its another fantastic gossipy night out!

.. and I hope I will not have to be asked to organise my own farewell party in future!!
